Enjoyed this cozy diner in Burlington for lunch. The menu is full of diner classics and serves all day breakfast!
The food was fresh, delicious and the portions were really generous.
It has dated decor but it gives it a little extra charm.
The crowd is full of old faithfuls and new faces like mine!
We enjoyed our meal, the service was awesome and the prices are great. -

Driving across the GTA when we had to stop for gas in Burlington, we spotted the Mount Royal Family Restaurant across the street and the siren call of 6pm breakfast lured us in.
At first I questioned our choice as the place looked like something straight out of the early 80's, which was also the average age of every other patron in the place.
But from the second we sat down to the moment we left we were blown away by the food, the service and the SPEED of this quaint little diner.
I had a beer, my friend had an orange juice, and we each ordered a variation of bacon and eggs, which promptly arrived perfectly cooked in about 14 seconds after we placed our order. WHAT. HOW.
Their beer selection was awful but honestly if they had a bunch of fancy craft beer it just wouldn't fit in with their style anyway, so I choked down a Budweiser and enjoyed a big ol' plate of perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, toast and homefries.
We were in and out in 20 minutes. Staff were incredibly friendly and warm. Highly recommended. -

Ehhh....
Mount Royal is in an unassuming plaza which was surprisingly filled on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn't a line up but the majority of the booths were filled.
The service there is very casual with servers all around if you need to flag them down.
The food there is quantity for the price rather than quality.
I ordered the steak and eggs. No complaint on eggs or toast but the steak was tough and 110% bland.
The boyfriend ordered the super-breakfast which would have honestly filled both of us. The eggs and ham were fine - but the bacon wasn't crispy and the sausages were somewhat .. stale.
I would have put a 4 star but I dropped a star because the cooks didn't wear hairnets.
I wouldn't be back just because there's better food within the neighbourhood.
(If my boyfriend's opinion mattered - he loved this place and is ready to go back this weekend) -

Been going there for nearly 30 years. The chicken souvlaki dinner is OUT OF THIS WORLD.
I go for an omelette, or the chicken souvlaki, every time. Their Greek salad is incredible.
One of my favorite restaurants in Burlington. World class staff. -

Some seriously quality breakfasts here.
Great little diner.
I see why it has been there for years.
Friendly service and welcoming.
Gets a little lined-up on the weekends though. It's worth the wait.
